Pipefreeze Repairs
Central Queensland Plumbing have used Liquid Nitrogen to freeze the contents of pipes, allowing operations such as pipe repair or valve replacement to be performed and new connections to be made.
A sleeve or dam is built around the pipe and Liquid Nitrogen is poured in so that the constant contact between pipe and nitrogen (at -200°C) causes the pipes contents to freeze into an extremely solid plug. Once this plug is in place it acts as a de facto shut-off valve and allows any work on the inlet side to be done.

Backflow Prevention
Backflow prevention valves are installed in all water systems to prevent the chance of contaminated water finding its way back into the water system. Under Government legislation, these valves require annual testing by certified tradespeople.
Central Queensland Plumbing offer a complete backflow prevention service, audit, testing & service. Repairs are carried out by qualified and certified tradespeople.

Repair all plumbing leaks.
To verify that your home is leak free, read your water meter before and after a two hour period, when no water is being used. If the meter does not read exactly the same, there is a leak. -
Repair dripping taps.
If your tap is dripping at a rate of one drip per second, you can waste 2,700 gallons per year. -
Replace/adjust sticking toilet buttons.
If the toilet button frequently sticks in the flush position it allows water to run constantly, replace or adjust it. -
Use water wisely.
Never pour water down the drain when there may be another use for it such as watering a plant or garden, or to clean around your home. -
Don't use your toilet as a wastepaper basket.
- Save water, turn the tap off.
Turn the water tap off while brushing your teeth, washing your face, and washing dishes.
